Job summary

Noblis in the Washington, DC area seeks an Emerging Biological / Chemical Threats SME to provide scientific, technical, and programmatic support to DHS S&T, focusing on AI/ML, biodetection, and threat assessment across biological/chemical domains. This hybrid position requires in-person work at the DHS S&T site in Washington, DC as needed, with applicants located in the National Capital Region.

A SECRET clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or Master's/PhD and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Degrees in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
• SECRET clearance (or eligibility for interim SECRET).
• Experience providing strategic scientific guidance and communicating to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific, technical, and programmatic guidance on biological and chemical threat topics.
• Develop test and evaluation methodologies and assess lifecycle costs.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare status reports and briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Support interagency and international science and technology partnerships.
