Job summary

Western & Southern Financial Group is seeking a Bindery Technician to participate in final assembly and provide finishing and binding for printed materials. You will use Stahl folders, Horizon collators, and other bindery equipment, performing adjustments as needed to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

This role requires working with minimal supervision, collaborating with team members, and updating management on progress.

A Day in the Life of a Bindery Technician

Participates in the final assembly of printed material to produce a quality product that meets our customers' demands and time frame. Performs graphic arts finishing and binding operations on printed materials produced in the printing and copying areas. Makes necessary adjustments and minor repairs to bindery equipment. Works with some supervision and makes a minimal range of decisions, escalates to management when appropriate and updates manager on a regular basis. Work in a positive team environment to complete orders throughout the day to meet our customer requests.

Key Tools & Technologies You’ll Work With:

• Sets up and operates all bindery equipment which includes Stahl folder, Horizon collator, paper drill, shrink wrapper, Polar paper cutter and coil binding equipment according to specifications.
• Operates manual fork jack to transport paper stock throughout Print Shop and raw paper from the holding area to the Print Shop.
• Makes daily deliveries to the Home Office campus in our company vehicle with finished print orders for our customers.
• Enters job completion data into our EPMS Print software
