Foresight Group in Lansing, MI seeks a Bindery Operator to run saddle stitchers, guillotine cutters and related equipment on a day shift. You’ll review job specs, set up lines, monitor quality, and maintain records while supporting training and cross-training on other lines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade School or Co-op experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of Bindery Operator experience preferred.
• Mechanical skills including setup/operation of saddle stitcher and folders.
• Ability to read specs and follow setup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines such as guillotine cutter and saddle stitcher.
• Acquire the job folder and review specifications and instructions.
• Follow routine setup and operating procedures.
• Maintain product quality to required standards.
• Maintain records of quantities, quality and information.
• Cross-train on other equipment lines.
• Assist in training new employees on lines.
• Maintain equipment and immediate area.
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Work on assignments in other manufacturing areas as needed.
• Comply with OSHA safety requirements.
