Job summary

RRD Company is seeking a2nd-shift Bindery Specialist in Breinigsville, PA to set up, adjust and operate a range of bindery machines, ensuring quality and productivity. You will lead a crew and coordinate multiple work stations to deliver finished books and catalogs.

The role requires familiarity with paper weights and sizes, precise measurements, and the ability to read job orders. Competitive pay with shift differential and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors to identify paper conditions
• Familiarity with basic mathematics to understand dimensional requirements
• Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines
• Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools
• Ability to read and interpret written work which indicates machine operations
• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines
• Working knowledge of setup and adjustments for folding, collating, and cutting of printed materials

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines
• May set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions
• Inspect equipment for safety issues
• May operate perfect binders with multiple process stations
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine
• Direct crew through all aspects of production
• Monitor quality, output and productivity
