Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Bindery Material Handler for Austell, GA. The role focuses on moving materials, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring inventory flows to the correct location on schedule.

Duties include removing and palletizing printed materials, inspecting quality, loading and organizing stock, and assisting press and bindery teams to keep production running smoothly. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Location: Austell, GA

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $15.75 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Looking for Bindery Material handler jobs in Austell where every shift keeps products moving? This opportunity lets you handle materials safely, support warehouse operations, and help ensure inventory reaches the right place at the right time. Support printing and bindery operations by moving materials, stacking finished products, performing quality checks, and assisting press and bindery teams to ensure efficient production.

Job Duties
  • Remove, stack, and palletize printed materials and signatures.
  • Inspect products for print quality, folds, smearing, and defects.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the facility.
  • Label, count, and track inventory and production materials.
  • Bundle and secure finished products using banding equipment.
  • Operate pallet jacks, dollies, hoists, and other material‑handling equipment.
  • Assist press crews with setup, plate handling, and material retrieval.
  • Support press and bindery operators as needed.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Bindery Material handler.
  • Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions.
  • Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
