Job summary

Data-Mail,-Inc in Windsor, CT, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate cutters, collators and folders, set up and maintain equipment, and monitor quality. The role covers a 12-hour shift pattern (6 am–6 pm or 6 pm–6 am) with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and a solid understanding of bindery equipment. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this full-time position in a busy print/lettershop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret recap instructions; order materials; complete production records, as required.
• Perform process related trouble-shooting and correction to ensure dimensions and quality of piece; monitor production.
• Perform cutting operations; make minor adjustments.
• Perform folder operations and operate folder
• Hand gather folded work from conveyor; operate sheet collator and load labels into trays, as required.
• Perform other bindery department operations, including proper separation of tray tags, collating, stapling and gluing.
• Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.
• Comply with company rules, regulations and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
