Job summary

Tension Envelope Corporation is seeking a Bindery Machine Operator to work in the Production Department. You will operate folder and cutter equipment, maintain quality standards, and troubleshoot machine issues to meet production goals.

This role requires reading job tickets, setting up MBO folding equipment, and performing routine maintenance. A High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of bindery experience are expected; overtime may be required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills to set up and operate MBO Folding Equipment (Roll to fold).
• Basic Math Skills, including ability to read a ruler.
• High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of bindery experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate folder/cutter equipment.
• Examine job tickets to determine job specific instructions.
• Set up on MBO folding equipment; roll unwinder or sheet fed.
• Set up/operate counter, glue systems and job folds.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment and lift up to 50 lbs.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating folder/cutter equipment, maintaining quality standards, trouble-shooting equipment issues, and upholding production requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other Duties May Be Assigned.

• Ability to work well with co-workers in team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Examine job tickets to determine job specific instructions.
• Perform job set ups on MBO folding equipment; roll unwinder or sheet fed
• Ability to setup/operate counter, glue systems and job specific folds.
• Possess mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Straight Knife Cutter operator
• Overtime may be required.
• Must be physically capable of working long hours, standing, and/or walking.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
