Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Bindery Assistant for Cascade, MI. You’ll join a fast-paced print team turning raw pages into finished products, with opportunities for real career growth.

You’ll handle line-side inspection, stacking, palletizing, and light hand work, while maintaining a clean workspace and supporting the bindery crew on second shift. Shifts 3:00pm–11:00pm with overtime and some Saturdays; pay is $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and inspection skills are helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
• Excellent attendance is mandatory.
• This position can be easily trained.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Catch books off the line and inspect for misprints, bad cuts, and defects.
• Stack books in the correct quantities according to each work order.
• Remove and recycle any defective materials to maintain quantity standards.
• Build neat, accurate pallet stacks based on each work order's requirements.
• Assist with "Hand Work" when needed - flipping through pages for defects, weighing material, shrink-wrapping books, and supporting other bindery tasks.

Bindery Assistant Requirements

Schedule & Pay

• 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:00pm with OT as needed, ability to work two hoursafterthe shift until 1:00am and some Saturdays
• $16.50/HR
