Job summary

PrintWorkers in the Niles, IL area is seeking two Folder Gluer Operators to run and adjust Bobst/Moll folder-gluer machines on the 3rd shift. You will read work orders, set up equipment, run tests, and monitor glue application, folding, and speeds to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with tape measures, and the ability to lift 30–50 pounds. The role includes medical, dental, and vision benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–2 years experience operating production equipment or folder-gluer machinery.
  • Experience with Bobst, Moll, or similar equipment strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of machine mechanics and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read job tickets, work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Comfortable using standard measuring tools, including tape measures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders and job specifications.
  • Set up and adjust machine settings for various box sizes and production requirements.
  • Operate Bobst, Moll, and similar folder-gluer machines efficiently and safely.
  • Run test pieces to verify proper machine setup before production.
  • Feed blanks into the machine and monitor glue application, folding, and production speeds.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, square shape, and strong glue seals.
  • Perform routine quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Clear minor machine jams and make basic adjustments as needed.
  • Clean glue heads and perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Use hand tools to troubleshoot and make basic mechanical repairs or adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company policies, production procedures, and factory safety requirements.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing approximately 30–50 pounds.
