Job summary

Primary Color Systems is seeking a folder gluer operator to set up, run, and maintain folding and gluing machinery for cartons and boxes. The role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

You will read tickets and blueprints to adjust equipment, monitor high-speed runs, inspect carton quality, and perform basic preventative maintenance. Candidates should lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–5 years of experience operating folder gluer equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read tape measures and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Read job tickets and blueprints to adjust feeders, folding rails, glue systems, and compression sections.
• Operation & Monitoring: Run high-speed production runs while monitoring quality, alignment, and glue adhesion.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished cartons for structural integrity and correct dimensions.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Fix minor jams, clean parts, and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Safety & Compliance: Keep the work area clean and follow all factory safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Read job tickets and blueprints to adjust feeders, folding rails, glue systems, and compression sections.
• Operation & Monitoring: Run high-speed production runs while monitoring quality, alignment, and glue adhesion.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished cartons for structural integrity and correct dimensions.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Fix minor mechanical jams, clean parts, and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Safety & Compliance: Keep the work area clean and follow all factory safety rules.

• 2 to 5 years of experience operating folder gluer equipment (such as Bobst, Heidelberg, or SBL machinery).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read tape measures and technical diagrams.
• Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to et up and run straight line boxes, auto-bottom boxes, and 2,4,6 corner trays
• Folder Gluer to operate (SBL PG-100C) with (HHS glue system)
