Ideal candidates have 3+ years of BIM experience, familiarity with electrical and mechanical trades, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complete BIM models based on drawings and specs.
• Prepare installation drawings and BOMs from BIM models.
• Review, manage, and manipulate electronic design files
• Update models to reflect as-built conditions
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical disciplines to integrate project features
• Interface with project team to understand and implement requirements
• Support project coordination and constructability through modeling
• Coordinate and possibly manage other BIM and VDC teams on the project

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a BIM / VDC Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating accurate BIM / VDC models. The individual's focus will be on Electrical systems for industrial projects. This position works closely with the project team to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complete and accurate BIM models based on drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare detailed installation drawings and bill of materials from the BIM models using approved drafting standards.
• Review, manage, and manipulate electronic design files
• Update models and drawings to reflect as-built conditions
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical disciplines to integrate project features into unified BIM models
• Interface with project team members to understand and implement project requirements
• Support ongoing project coordination and constructability efforts through effective modeling practices
• Coordinate and possibly manage other BIM and VDC teams working on the project

Skills & Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience with BIM platforms
• Experience with electrical trades
• Experience with mechanical trades is a plus
• Experience with Off Site manufacturing is a plus

Knowledge & Experience

• Understanding of electrical systems, layouts, and industrial construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Strong experience with 3D modeling workflows in a construction or industrial environment

Soft Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
