Job summary

Baker Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Software Developer – BIM/VDC to build tools that streamline BIM/VDC workflows, including Revit Add-Ins and related integrations, within the IT - DevOps team. The role emphasizes delivering robust software using established development practices.

The ideal candidate has C#/.NET experience, Dynamo scripting, Python for BIM automation, and familiarity with APS Forge API and Git.

Qualifications

Experience with C# and/or .NET development, including Revit Add-Ins or Autodesk platform extensions.
Familiarity with Dynamo scripting and Python for BIM automation workflows.
Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) / Forge API for cloud BIM integrations.
Experience with Git version control and established branching workflows.
Understanding BIM/VDC workflows and construction industry processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop software tools (Revit Add-Ins) to streamline BIM/VDC workflows and improve team output.
Integrate software tools that enhance BIM/VDC capabilities and operational effectiveness.
Produce and maintain documentation for in-house developed software.
Follow DevOps standards, coding best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Write and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality.
