Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C. is seeking a VDC Manager I to lead BIM/VDC efforts across design through construction on projects typically under $60M. You will coordinate with project teams, model components, and drive the BIM workflow to support preconstruction and field operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership in a design-to-construction process, and adoption of new BIM technologies and workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction.
1-4 years of construction industry experience with minimum 2 years BIM/VDC responsibilities.
Experience with listed BIM design tools is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to listen, collaborate, and communicate with teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinate BIM deliverables with project teams throughout design and construction.
Model missing 3D components on an as-needed basis.
Manage BIM coordination process on medium-size projects.
Communicate clearly with project teams, design teams, and subcontractors.
Analyze models provided by Architects & Design Engineers for preconstruction and construction needs.
Participate in VDC committee meetings and departmental initiatives.
Utilize models to support preconstruction and construction activities such as quantity take-off, 3D/4D site logistics, and 4D visualizations.
Run clash detection and document clashes; track resolutions through construction.
