Reporting to the VDC team, this position will support lead coordinators and project teams by developing and updating electrical models, generating shop drawings, and incorporating field redlines using Autodesk Revit and other BIM/VDC software.

Working closely with experienced BIM/VDC professionals, this individual will assist with model development, drawing revisions, and coordination efforts to help ensure electrical systems are accurately represented and ready for field installation. The role provides hands‑on exposure to construction documentation, model coordination, and collaboration between design and field teams, with opportunities to develop technical skills and grow within the VDC discipline.

The ideal candidate has foundational experience with Autodesk Revit, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn electrical construction modeling and coordination practices. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, team-oriented group. • Support BIM modeling and coordination activities to help ensure electrical systems are accurately represented and properly integrated with other building systems.
  • Assist with reviewing construction documents, design drawings, and project specifications to support accurate model development.
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit and other BIM/VDC tools, including Navisworks, to support modeling, drawing production, and coordination efforts.
  • Collaborate with BIM/VDC team members, project personnel, and field teams to communicate updates, address questions, and support project needs.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date models and drawings in accordance with departmental standards and project requirements.
  • Learn and apply established BIM/VDC processes, modeling standards, and electrical construction practices under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project execution and business operations.
Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • 0–2 years of experience using Autodesk Revit for drafting, modeling, design, or related applications.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, organized work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and communicate questions or project updates.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, receive feedback, and apply direction from experienced coordinators.
  • Willingness to learn electrical construction modeling, BIM/VDC coordination processes, and applicable department standards.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a project-driven environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Autodesk Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, or other related design and coordination software.
