Job summary

Garney is seeking a BIM/VDC Coordinator to work with project teams on delivering BIM deliverables during design and construction. You will develop 3D models, analyze coordination drawings, and create 4D visuals to convey sequencing.

Responsibilities include coordinating MEP trades, running clash reports, and ensuring field installations match coordinated models. A Civil Eng degree with BIM/VDC experience is required, with opportunities to work across preconstruction and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
• 3–10 years of construction industry experience with at least 1 year in BIM/VDC responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating MEP trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for preconstruction and construction use.
• Analyze models from Architects/Design Engineers and adapt for Estimating and Construction Ops.
• Create 4D visualizations to communicate schedule and sequence of work.
• Create/Render virtual mockups and presentation materials.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors using Navisworks and manage scope gaps.
• Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Reports.
• Assist COBie execution and align field installations with coordinated models.
• Support layout point establishment with Field Engineers and Subcontractors.
