Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field.
• 3–10 years of construction industry experience with at least 1 year BIM/VDC responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating MEP trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction.
• Analyze models provided by Architects and Design Engineers and adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations.
• Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work.
• Create/Render Virtual mockups
• Create Presentation material/ visual aids
• Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing Navisworks
• Model 'scope gaps' necessary for coordination of trades
• Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through Clash Reports
• Maintain/Assist project team with COBie execution
• Work with Field Engineers and Subcontractors to establish layout points in model as well as field
• Provide regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models
• Record and Report project data for case studies

A BIM/VDC Coordinator job is availableat Garney. In this position, you will work directly with project teams to assist the project’s delivery throughout design and construction utilizing Building Information Modeling. This team is responsible for planning, executing, and closing out of BIM deliverables at the project specific level.
