Our team is committed to delivering high‑quality, innovative solutions, and we are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Bias BIM Technician to join our growing team in Miami.

Job Summary

As an Electrical Bias BIM Technician, you will be responsible for developing and managing the electrical systems and infrastructure models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all electrical systems are accurately represented and integrated into the overall project model. You will play a key role in ensuring that designs are in compliance with all relevant codes and standards while supporting the smooth delivery of projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • BIM Modeling & Design:
  • Create, maintain, and update accurate 3D electrical models in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, etc.) for various building systems including lighting, power, fire alarms, and other electrical components.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, architects, and other design professionals to coordinate the electrical design within the broader project model. Resolve clashes and ensure coordination of electrical systems with other disciplines such as HVAC and plumbing.
  • Documentation & Drafting:
  • Produce electrical plans, layouts, and details from BIM models for construction documentation and presentations. Ensure that drawings and models are in accordance with local regulations and standards.
  • Use BIM tools to identify and resolve potential design conflicts between electrical systems and other building systems early in the design process to minimize costly changes during construction.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all models and drawings meet the required quality standards and are aligned with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all electrical design and model work adheres to local electrical codes, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.
  • Project Support:
  • Provide ongoing support to the project team throughout the lifecycle of the project, assisting with revisions, updates, and coordination meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience working as a BIM Technician with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Strong experience with BIM software, specifically Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Experience with clash detection tools (Navisworks, Solibri, etc.) is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining electrical BIM models.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems design including lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret and translate architectural and engineering plans into accurate models.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team‑oriented attitude.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address challenges early in the design process.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance bonuses.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Professional development opportunities and training.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
