ENG is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead MEP modeling with a focus on quality, autonomy, and clash detection across projects in the United States. The role emphasizes high-level modeling, QAQC, and interdisciplinary coordination using Navisworks and related tools.

We provide MEP Modeling, VDC/BIM Management, Laser Scanning, and Scan to BIM services, as well as a comprehensive array of BIM production services to architects, engineers, and owners.

The Role

The BIM Specialist role generally involves covering the modeling of different trades (MEP), depending on your background and expertise, whose extent will depend on the scope of the project (specific zones or entire buildings), and whose quality will go according to clients’ requirements and the services provided by the team you end up joining. This position requires a high level of modeling quality (expertise, technical knowledge, LOD and QAQC capabilities), and more autonomy in its self-management and modeling capabilities (studying whatever's necessary according to each trade). A BIM Specialist saves the client problems, detecting possible conflicts throughout the initial information review and the modeling and coordination phases.

Minimum mandatory requirements

• An excellent level of English is an absolute must, both spoken and written. Aspiring candidates must be able to keep up with fluent conversations both with native and non-native speakers. Candidates without this requirement will NOT be considered.
• Solid experience modeling HVAC and plumbing in Revit for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential construction. This can include things like process piping, ductwork and sheet metal, and for plumbing, domestic water, sanitary drainage and gray water, stormwater, medical gases, compressed air lines, pumps, heaters and hangers.
• Experience coordinating or clash-detecting through Navisworks (Revizto can also be considered but Navisworks will be prioritized), knowledge of BIM coordination, clash report, QAQC and model accuracy.
• mechanical or civil engineering bachelors degree (architects could be considered but only if they have extensive experience modeling and coordinating MEP trades themselves).

Specific requirements will vary depending on the position and service. Experience with Level Of Detail (LOD) 400 and projects based in the US, or constructability knowledge related to that country will be a huge differential. Other desirable requirements are:

• BIM add-ins (e.g., Evolve, SysQue, Fabrication Parts).
• Experience in conceptual design / BIM Design assist.
• AutoCAD Plant 3D knowledge.
• Dynamo/Python knowledge applied to BIM.
• On-site/field experience.
• Ability to produce detailed models, including real-world fittings and connection types.
