Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a BIM Modeling Support Specialist to assist engineering and construction teams with development, coordination, and management of BIM deliverables. The role focuses on creating and maintaining 3D models and supporting design coordination across utility, infrastructure, and EPC projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of BIM modeling or CAD experience and strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and coordination workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of BIM modeling, design, or CAD experience.
• Experience supporting engineering and construction projects.
• Experience in EPC, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction environments.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for civil, structural, electrical, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Create construction drawings, plan sets, sections, details, and design documentation from BIM models.
• Support engineering teams throughout project planning, design, and construction phases.
• Ensure design packages comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry requirements.

Position Summary

We are seeking a BIM Modeling Support Specialist to support engineering and construction teams through the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables. This individual will play a critical role in creating and maintaining 3D models, supporting design coordination efforts, and ensuring constructible, high-quality project documentation across utility, power, infrastructure, substation, and EPC projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in engineering, utility, transmission & distribution, substation, construction, or industrial environments and possess strong technical expertise with BIM software, engineering design standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Modeling & Design Support

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for civil, structural, electrical, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Create construction drawings, plan sets, sections, details, and design documentation from BIM models.
• Support engineering teams throughout project planning, design, and construction phases.
• Ensure design packages comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry requirements.
