Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a BIM Operator to join our VDC/BIM team. The BIM Operator will develop accurate 3D models for electrical systems using Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto, and create shop drawings for construction.

You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and owners to implement BIM standards, resolve conflicts, and ensure constructable plan sets. This is a full-time position with opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience with BIM software including Revit, Navisworks and Revizto.
• Ability to read electrical single lines and plan sets.
• Experience with cloud-based models.
• Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
• Autodesk certification or an associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a BIM Operator to join our team. The BIM Operator is a full time position with opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge on our VDC/BIM team. The BIM Operator will work with internal and external teams comprised of engineers, BIM and Revit operators, General Contractors, Project Managers, and Owners to produce high quality models and shop drawings for construction.

Major Duties

• Develop BIM Models in Revit - Create and maintain accurate 3D models of electrical systems including telecom, fire alarm & security when required.
• Implement BIM Execution Plan – Review and implement project specifications and BIM LOD’s, as well as following industry and company standards.
• Work closely with project managers, foreman and other project teams to coordinate and resolve design conflicts.
• Produce accurate and constructable plan sets, schedules, and detailed drawings.
• Assist and support development and maintenance of project standards.
• Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Be a self starter.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working with BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto.
• Experience with electrical systems including the ability to read a single line and plan sets.
• Ability to actively listen, understand, and respond to diverse perspectives.
• Demonstrate ability to think critically, identify root causes, and develop creative solutions.
• Experience working with cloud-based models.
• Understanding of MS Office including Word and Excel.
• Autodesk certification or associate's degree in AutoCAD/Revit drafting and design preferred.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
