Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time BIM Detailer to join our VDC Team in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on producing shop drawings, prefab details, and extraction from Revit, with collaboration across project teams using Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel.

You will develop 3D models of electrical systems, create schedules, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to modeling standards and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Revit and Navisworks.
• 1+ years’ experience in VDC process.
• Knowledge of BIM process.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Advanced Revit skills.
• Basic Bluebeam skills.
• Intermediate Word and Excel skills.
• Understanding of systems concepts and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Create views, sheets, details, and schedules from Revit for projects.
• Tagging, dimensions, and notations of views.
• QA/QC of drawings, details, and schedules for accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver information timely.
• Develop Revit models and 3D electrical system models.
• Produce shop drawings and details to support installation.
• Fill out schedules, forms, and worksheets using Excel and Bluebeam.
• Learn and adhere to modeling standards; contribute to process improvements.
• Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and on-time delivery.

Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full time BIM Detailer to join our VDC Team. The BIM Detailer will be working with our Electrical Planning Foreman to interpret and assist in planning the electrical installations for our projects.

The BIM Detailer is responsible for production of shop drawings, prefab details, and schedule creation and extraction from Revit. You will be collaborating with internal project teams to ensure the project teams receive information in a timely manner using Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Major Duties

• Create views, sheets, details, schedules, along with process prefabrication components from Revit.
• Tagging, dimensions, and notations of views.
• Quality assurance and control of drawings, details and schedules for accuracy of deliverables.
• Collaboration and adaptation of deliverables based on the needs of internal customers.
• Develop Revit Models - Create and maintain accurate 3D models of electrical systems as required.
• Produce Shop Drawing and details to support installation.
• Fill out necessary schedules, forms, and worksheets using Excel and Bluebeam.
• Completing work on time with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to learn and adhere to modeling standards.
• Desire to contribute to improving standards and processes.
• Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Be a self starter.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Revit and Navisworks.
• 1+ years’ experience in VDC process
• Knowledge of BIM process.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Advanced Revit skills.
• Basic skills in Bluebeam.
• Intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Understanding of systems concepts and construction practices.
• Ability to actively listen, understand, and respond to diverse perspectives.
• Demonstrate ability to think critically, identify root causes, and develop creative solutions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm
