Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc is seeking a BIM Modeler II to provide modeling efforts for project delivery and standards. You will be part of the production team delivering accurate modeling and deliverables with minimal supervision.

Expect to develop Revit families, model and document projects, set up views, templates, and follow Rosendin Standards. The role requires strong Revit skills, ability to read 2D plans, and effective self-management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform BIM modeling tasks for project delivery and standards.

  • Model and document the project efficiently.
  • Setup Revit views, templates, and filters following Rosendin standards.
  • Document progress per project standards.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and IP requirements.

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The BIM Modeler II is responsible for providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. A member of the production team that is expected to provide accurate and efficient modeling and deliverables from assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Capable of successfully performing all tasks of a BIM Modeler I
  • Work with the Lead Modeler/Supervisor in developing Revit Families either for the revised standards or for a specific project’s needs.
  • Will need to efficiently model and document the project.
  • Perform layout and input from field details into Revit in accordance with REI Standards.
  • Lead modeling efforts on assigned scope.
  • Setup of Revit views, view templates, and filters following Rosendin Standards.
  • Document progress of assigned work following project standards.
  • Acknowledgement of any/all REI confidentiality and/or Non-Disclosure requirements pursuant to this position.
  • The protection of Proprietary or Company Intellectual Property.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Effective self-management
  • Knowledge of Revit, with the ability to create and manipulate views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar
  • Give verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, constructable design documents
  • Ability to follow REI BIM processes, procedures, and standards including workflow
  • Ability to read 2D plans, electronically or hard copy, including one-lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules
  • Knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited to BlueBeam, Autodesk Cloud products, and NavisWorks
  • Able to import documents, such as spreadsheets, photos, images, and word processing files, into Revit projects
  • Type, proofread, spell check work without supervision
  • Understanding of working within Revit work sharing environments
  • Understanding of 3D coordination with other trade
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Strong, solutions-oriented oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate degree preferred in Computerized Drafting field
  • Minimum 2 years’ total experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards
  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience

WORKING CONDITIONS: General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite. We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
