Job summary

Ambitus is seeking a skilled BIM modeler to convert 2D architectural and structural drawings into accurate 3D IFC models. You will verify AI-generated outputs against source drawings and ensure model integrity across geometry, elements, and organization.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in complex buildings, strong documentation skills in English, and proficiency with BIM tools to support collaborative delivery and review workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience modeling complex buildings from 2D drawings and construction details.
• Proficient with BIM authoring tools, IFC export workflows, and checking exported files.
• Ability to identify discrepancies between drawings, authoring models, and IFC deliverables.
• Clear written English for documenting modeling decisions and technical feedback.

About the role

We are working to build the future of AI by pushing the boundaries of what frontier models can achieve. This role focuses on turning complex buildings’ 2D architectural and structural drawings into coordinated 3D IFC models, and evaluating the accuracy and completeness of AI-generated deliverables. We’re looking for practicing BIM modelers, technicians, specialists, and coordinators who can provide and/or generate suitable drawing sets they are authorized to share and use for this project.

• Build coordinated architectural and structural models from plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Export models to IFC and check that geometry, building elements, and model organization are preserved.
• Review AI-generated models and reference models against source drawings, identifying modeling errors, omissions, and export issues.

Qualifications

• Relevant education or training in BIM, drafting, architecture, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, with current hands‑on work in building model production.
