Job summary

HMC Architects, an employee-owned design firm, seeks a BIM Manager to lead BIM strategy across project teams in Seattle, WA. The role combines technical leadership with mentoring and hands-on project engagement, advancing data-rich design and automated workflows.

You will oversee BIM standards, software deployments, and training programs while collaborating with leadership to drive efficiency and interoperability across studios. Hybrid work and flexible hours are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5–8 years of AEC industry experience with strong understanding of all project phases.
• Minimum 5 years managing BIM workflows across full project lifecycles.
• Expert-level proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and BIM-related software.
• Knowledge of Navisworks, Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Experience with Content Catalog (UNIFI), Guardian, Ideate Software, Clarity, and Dynamo.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams through BIM execution planning, technical leadership, and ongoing model quality control.
• Mentor and guide Project BIM Leads while ensuring consistent BIM standards and workflows.
• Perform regular model audits and maintain interoperability across project models.
• Develop, curate, and manage digital assets, detail libraries, and content for delivery.
• Champion BIM technologies firmwide, advancing data-rich models for automation and AI workflows.
• Elevate metadata quality and manage information across projects.
• Manage software deployments, licensing, and ACC cloud platforms.
• Track metrics related to technology initiatives and ROI.
• Design and deliver training programs from fundamentals to advanced workflows.
• Lead or contribute to R&D and evaluate emerging tools.
