Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a BIM Specialist to lead integration and coordination across fast-paced multidisciplinary projects. You will manage detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines, perform clash detection, and coordinate with in-house and external teams to ensure project success.

The role emphasizes living models, data migration, and training to embed BIM practices throughout the project lifecycle, including as-built handover and construction documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a BIM specialist or Modeler in construction or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews to resolve conflicts early.
• Lead BIM coordination efforts for multi-disciplinary projects across in-house and external design consultants.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Act as the primary BIM resource, addressing technical issues and optimizing BIM processes.
• Maintain a living model toward an as-built for the facility.
• Lead transition of BIM workflows from external providers to in-house operations.
• Generate construction documentation, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations for bidding, procurement, and on-site execution.
• Troubleshoot BIM issues and recommend software/tools/process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to inform design decisions and mitigate risks.
