Job summary

Allied Electric, Inc is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the construction team by managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and generating accurate site layouts for industrial and commercial electrical installations.

The role requires developing and maintaining models, coordinating clash detection, and providing precise field layout data to ensure efficient, code-compliant installation across projects in the Midwest.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BIM coordination, digital layout, or related roles in commercial or industrial construction.
• Background in electrical construction required; field experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Autodesk, AutoCAD, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update 3D electrical models using BIM software.
• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and trade partners to integrate electrical systems into project models.
• Lead clash detection efforts and resolve coordination issues before construction.
• Maintain model integrity throughout project lifecycle and provide up-to-date information to the field team.
• Collaborate with field teams to deliver layout files and ensure consistency between models and on-site conditions.
