Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a BIM Engineering Technician to support Battery Energy Storage design (BESS). You will provide 2D/3D drafting using Revit and AutoCAD, creating construction drawings and ensuring models reflect design specs, while collaborating with engineers and other staff.

This remote-friendly role requires a two-year drafting degree and at least 5 years of experience, with strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop 3D models of BESS equipment using Revit.
• Ensure 3D models are accurate and reflect design specifications.

• Keep 3D models up to date and aligned with project deadlines.
• Produce design and construction drafting including plans, sections, details, electrical one-lines and schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and communications diagrams.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Job description

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a BIM Engineering Technician position supporting Battery Energy Storage design (BESS). The BIM Engineering Technician supports an assigned group of engineers by providing technical 2D and 3D drafting support and creating construction and removal drawings/designs utilizing Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD.This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our Renewables Lifeline Sector®. Qualified candidates will be considered to work remote from any location in the US, or if candidate chooses may work from any of Ulteig’s existing office locations.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other technical staff to develop 3D models of BESS design and equipment using Autodesk Revit.
• Ensure that 3D models are accurate and reflect design specifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that 3D models integrate with other project deliverables.
• Ensure 3D models are up to date and comply with project deadlines.
• Complete design and construction drafting work including plan and section views, construction details, electrical one-lines and schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and communications diagrams.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Must collaborate well with a team.

What We Expect from You

• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Revit is required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Knowledge of BESS electrical physical design would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of Dynamo and/or pyRevit would be beneficial.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and deadlines.
• Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• If working remote must have reliable high speed internet capabilities.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the US.

Additional Opportunity Details:

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $32.25hr - $43.75/hr
