Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related field.
• 5+ years of project experience in the design/engineering of water & wastewater facilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• Experience with BIM and CAD design platforms (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager for successful project execution.
• Design water and wastewater facilities including pumping stations, storage facilities and treatment plants.
• Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, specs, cost estimates and technical reports.
• Maintain records of design calculations, reports and correspondence; perform site assessments and feasibility studies.
• Provide technical direction to junior engineers and BIM/CAD technicians.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits."
• Handle construction administration tasks (submittal review, RFI responses, shop drawings).
• Coordinate with clients, utility owners, project teams and subconsultants.
• Adhere to all KCI policies and complete tasks on time and within budget.
