Nucor Buildings Group is seeking a qualified Detailing Trainee for Steeling Detailing / BIM Modeling at our El Paso, IL facility. This entry-level role offers growth into 3D BIM modeling with training in advanced drafting software.

The position emphasizes safety, precise 2D/3D drawings, and collaboration with fabrication teams. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred associate degree or CAD experience, and legal work authorization in the U.S.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or two-year vocational certification in architecture, drafting, construction management or engineering technology OR 3+ years CAD experience.
• Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Responsabilidades

• 2D/3D modeling to develop electronic models of custom buildings.
• Draft construction anchor bolt drawings.
• Produce permit/approval drawings.
• Generate shop drawings and reports for fabrication and production teams.
• Develop erection drawings and bills of materials for field construction.
• Uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards.
