Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group is seeking an enthusiastic Steel Detailer/BIM Modeler for full-time work in Indiana. This entry-level to experienced role drafts all components of custom metal buildings, ensuring steel framing, wall and roof panels, flashings, and trims fit together in a complete design solution.

Responsibilities include 2D/3D modeling, anchor bolt drawings, permit drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings and BOMs, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy in fabrication and field

Qualifications

• Able to visualize in 3D and produce accurate models.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Full-time role; no part-time positions.
• Experience with CAD/3D modeling tools desirable.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• 2D/3D modeling: Develop electronic models of custom buildings using advanced drafting software.
• Draft construction anchor bolt drawings with precision.
• Produce permit/approval drawings for permits and approvals.
• Generate shop drawings and reports for fabrication teams.
• Develop erection drawings and bills of materials for field construction.
