Job summary

Jordan & Skala Engineers is seeking a Plumbing Engineer/Designer in Charlotte, NC to own plumbing design for mid-rise and high-rise multifamily and mixed-use projects. You’ll collaborate in a BIM-driven environment and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams from model to field.

Design responsibilities include domestic water, drainage, sanitary vent, gas distribution, and fire protection coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong Revit proficiency and BIM workflow experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit preferred.
• Dense multidisciplinary project experience

Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, storm drainage, sanitary waste and vent, and natural gas distribution.
• Size, select, schedule, and specify plumbing components including fixtures, specialties, and equipment.
• Design fire protection systems coordination with other trades (pumps, standpipes, etc.).
• Produce clear, coordinated documentation for new construction and renovations, in a BIM environment.
