Job summary

EASTERN Glass and Aluminum, Inc (EGA) is seeking a BIM & Drafting Coordinator to produce precise shop drawings and build robust BIM models. You will coordinate EGA’s scope with other disciplines and support projects from design development through field installation.

The role requires hands-on drafting and BIM work, including clash detection, coordination, drawing revisions, and resolving constructability issues in collaboration with PMs, GCs, and design professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural or construction drafting, BIM, or related technical design work.
• Experience producing construction shop drawings and BIM models is preferred.
• Experience performing BIM coordination and clash detection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce shop drawings from architectural/structural drawings, specs, submittals, and coordinated models.
• Develop BIM models for project coordination and field installation.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues with structural, roofing, waterproofing, curtain walls, MEP, and related systems.
• Coordinate technical changes and RFIs with Project Managers, design teams, and field personnel.
• Assist with field coordination and provide technical guidance to ensure constructability.
• Maintain alignment between BIM models, shop drawings, and field conditions.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and track clashes to resolution.
