Job summary

Fisk Electric Co., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a BIM Detailer – Electrical to join our Houston team. The role focuses on developing accurate electrical and low-voltage drawings to support BIM designers, project teams, and field installation efforts.

You will create detailed 2D drawings, coordinate with engineers, review specs and NEC compliance, and perform quality control to ensure buildable, conflict-free designs. We build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical background through apprenticeship or work as an inside apprentice or wireman.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, low-voltage systems, construction drawings, and field installation requirements.
• Experience using Bluebeam or similar software to create accurate 2D drawings.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply project specifications, electrical drawings, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform drawing reviews and quality control checks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with BIM designers, engineers, project teams, and other discipline designers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to support multiple project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop precise electrical and low-voltage drawings, including equipment, cable trays, conduits, receptacles, lighting, homerun boxes, circuiting, and switches.
• Create detailed 2D drawings using software such as Bluebeam to support accurate and efficient installation.
• Provide clear, buildable drawings and population drawings for BIM designers and project teams.
• Work closely with electrical BIM designers, engineers, and other discipline designers to integrate designs and avoid conflicts.
• Review project specifications, established electrical standards, and applicable codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to verify design intent, resolve discrepancies, and support constructability in the field.
