Job summary

Neilsoft Limited is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator in Michigan, USA. The successful applicant will manage BIM data exchanges and lead BIM methodologies for large-scale projects. With over 3 years of experience in BIM coordination and knowledge of local codes, you will ensure effective collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.

This position calls for a degree in Engineering and proficiency in BIM tools, including Navisworks, to ensure project deliverables are met on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with an A1 contractor in North America.
• Experience in BIM modelling and MEP system coordination is advantageous.
• Self-motivated and able to handle pressure.

Job description

• Manage the exchange, collaboration, and coordination of BIM data with consultants, contractors, other stakeholders, and the internal team.
• Lead in BIM implementation, Standards, Modelling workflow & methodologies during project design, construction, and handover.
• Conduct clash detection between electrical/mechanical systems and building components and resolve issues using tools like Navisworks or similar software.
• Actively promote advanced and innovative BIM-based methodologies towards integrated practice,
• Prepare, execute, and maintain BIM strategies and plans.
• Support and provide a review of BIM Project Models, workflows, and methodologies to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Must be aware of Local US and Canadian codes & standards such as NFPA, Ontario / BC Building Code, ASHRAE etc.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with an A1 contractor in North America.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma or Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of working experience in construction, design, drafting, or coordination, as per local codes and standards.
• Experience in BIM modelling and MEP system coordination is advantageous
• With at least 3 years of BIM coordination/management experience in the relevant industry for large scale projects
• Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility, and able to handle pressure.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
