Job summary

Interstates is seeking a BIM Coordinator to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) into projects, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring accurate electrical system representations in a 3D environment.

You will create and manage 3D BIM models, coordinate with project teams, perform clash detection, and generate BIM reports, contributing to design, construction, and maintenance workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM coordination or related roles in construction.
• Proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or Bentley Systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools under supervision.
• Manipulate BIM model families for updates and improvements.
• Load incoming models into Revit projects with supervision.
• Ensure model health, proper storage, and user access by scanning for issues and following standards.
• Coordinate BIM models with project teams and clients, resolving issues with supervision.
• Participate in clash detection analyses to identify and resolve clashes before construction.
• Generate and distribute BIM reports and outputs (Navisworks, clash reports, progress reports).
• Stay informed about emerging BIM technologies and evaluate new tools for adoption.
