Job summary

Arcadis APM is seeking a BIM Coordinator / VDC Engineer to support a large-scale tool install project in Boise, Idaho. The role requires 3+ years in BIM design and coordination, with strong 3D modeling skills and proficiency in Navisworks, Plant 3D, Revit and BIM360.

Hybrid work to be performed from a commutable location to Boise. You will own communications between MEP disciplines, manage coordination meetings, and drive constructability input into routing plans while supporting field execution

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BIM design and coordination.
• Experience with complex tool install projects in high-tech/semiconductor sectors.
• Ability to provide US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate routing and coordination across Piping, Electrical, Ducting disciplines.
• Lead coordination meetings and distribute meeting minutes and ARs.
• Develop constructability input and incorporate into routing plans.
• Assist with resolving routing conflicts and field issues.
• Ensure routing plan is implemented in the field and capture lessons learned.

Arcadis APM is seeking a BIM Coordinator / VDC Engineer to support a large-scale advanced technology tool install construction project for our client in Boise, Idaho. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and ideally have experience executing BIM Coordination for complex tool install projects within the high-tech industry.

Proven success working for EPCM company in a similar role, with facility design for cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, and Tool Install in Semiconductor specifically.

This is hybrid position and will require the selected individual to live locally and within commutable distance to the state capital of Idaho. Relocation assistance is available as needed for selected individuals.

• Own communication between the different MEP trade disciplines, (Piping, Electrical, Ducting) for all aspects of routing coordination including the integration of the trade field teams with the trade detailing teams.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders to manage the resolution of issues with the inputs to the detailing process. This will include Tool Install central design, Layout, Pre-assignment and Basebuild, etc.
• Coordinate, facilitate and manage coordination meetings both in an office environment and on site. Issue meeting minutes and assign and manage ARs to resolution.
• Develop processes that ensure constructability input is provided by the trade construction team to the trade detailing team and that it is incorporated into the routing plans.
• Assist contractors in providing solutions to achieve a routing plan free of conflicts. This may require multiple interactions and design corrections.
• Complete Quality, Coordination & Clash audits on trade routing plans and work proactively with contractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor that the routing design is implemented in the field per the routing plan. Ensure all lessons learned from field clashes are implemented on the next routing plan.
• Work with the trade contractors to promote productivity improvements, efficient and flawless execution and also participate in continuous process improvement during execution of the project.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+ years working in BIM Design and Coordination, preferably within the advanced technology industry.
• 3D Modeling & BIM background.
• Knowledge with laser scanning, point clouds, BIM360, use of laser scanning equipment.
• Proficient in 3D/BIM software: Navisworks, Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD MEP; Laser Scan software; Clash detection.
• Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction preferred. Direct experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travellers and relocation.
