Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Senior Design Project Manager to support the Semiconductor sector in the United States. The role plans, coordinates, and leads architectural and engineering functions, guiding teams and clients through project design and execution.

Ideal candidates bring extensive A/E/EPM experience, especially in cleanrooms and fabs, with the ability to mentor junior PMs and manage complex, high-value programs. Remote work is possible; Boise area preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Engineering Management.
• 15 years of experience in Architecture Design and Engineering.
• 10 years in Semiconductor industry experience.
• 5 years of Project Management in Semiconductor Industry is required.
• Professional Engineer license or AIA preferred but not required.
• Project Management Professional credential preferred but not required.
• Tool Install experience and Fab builder knowledge is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the project management of various size projects up to large capital-intensive high complexity projects.
• Prepare proposals, develop and maintain project resource plans, and establish project budgets.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
• Provide overall leadership internally and externally for projects.
• Create and meet all project milestones and financial commitments.
• Develop and successfully manage project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools, deliverable distribution lists.
• Proactively report and present project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in project accounting and working with project controls for profit, loss, and earned value reporting.
• Successfully manage changes on projects.
• Properly identify and assess project risks and elevate to senior leadership as appropriate.
• Foster and implement lean execution methods for effective collaboration and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with the design discipline managers, design project execution manager, and quality manager to develop project quality and execution plans.
• May be assigned line management responsibilities of a team of design project managers.
• Represent the firm with clients, partners, industry associations, and peers including participation in events, conferences, and publications.
• Other duties as assigned

Role description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Design Project Manager to support our Semiconductor sector in the US. The Project Manager plans and organizes all architectural and engineering functions specific to each project, coordinates and manages interaction between project teams and clients and change control and monitors project design. Providing guidance on technical resource loading for projects in semiconductor, advanced technology, research & development, specialty chemical or other similar industries.

Proven success working for an A/E or EPCM company in a similar role, supporting projects related to cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, and related advanced process industries is highly desirable. Proven success managing, leading, and mentoring subordinate project managers to be successful during all phases of their own projects. This role may be performed remotely, though candidates located near Boise, Idaho; Phoenix, Arizona; Albany, New York; or Hillsboro, Oregon are preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering or Engineering Management plus ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents, financial reports and legal documents.
• Software Skills should include Microsoft Office Suite and Project, Procore, Bluebeam, , and Video Conferencing Software, along with other applicable project management software applications.
• 15 years of experience in Architecture Design and Engineering.
• 10 years in Semiconductor industry experience.
• 5 years of Project Management in Semiconductor Industry is required.
• Strong attention to detail and possess excellent written and communication skills, be well organized, engaged, flexible and self-motivated.
• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
• Professional Engineer license or A.I.A., preferred but not required.
• Project Management Professional credential preferred but not required.
• Tool Install experience and Fab builder knowledge is encouraged but not required.
