Actalent is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Brookfield, WI, to develop and maintain BIM workflows for commercial plumbing projects. You will provide technical and analytical support to the BIM team, coordinating with project stakeholders and applying VDC methods across project phases.

This role focuses on developing and maintaining Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows for a plumbing contractor, with an emphasis on commercial plumbing projects. The BIM Coordinator provides technical and analytical support to the BIM team and project stakeholders, overseeing and supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) approaches for planning, coordination, problem solving, and integration across all phases of active and potential projects.
Develop and maintain BIM processes and workflows to support project delivery across all phases.
Implement BIM processes for multiple uses within the company, including cost estimating, project planning, and integrated project delivery.
Coordinate with project teams and operations leaders to leverage BIM technologies that enhance project plans and execution.
Contribute to marketing materials and business development plans by providing BIM-related content and visualizations.
Aid in the development of construction process plan drawings for internal and external coordination and communication.
Assist in quality control to ensure all shop drawings are complete, accurate, and adhere to company standards.
Support project work by performing BIM modeling and detailing, particularly for commercial plumbing systems.
Collaborate with self-perform groups to identify and implement strategies that create efficiencies by leveraging BIM tools and processes.
Work with Safety and Quality departments to explore enhancements to standard operating procedures using BIM-based technologies.
Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve BIM design issues in coordination with project stakeholders.
Maintain clear documentation of BIM standards, workflows, and project-specific modeling approaches as needed.
At least 1+ years of experience in a BIM Coordinator role.
At least 6+ months of experience in a commercial plumbing setting.
Proficiency in BIM software tools, including Revit.
Experience with drafting and producing detailed construction documents.
Understanding of plumbing systems within commercial construction projects.
Ability to support Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) approaches for planning, coordination, and integration.
Strong attention to detail for quality control of models and shop drawings.
Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, operations staff, safety, and quality departments.
Strong problem-solving skills to address BIM-related design and coordination issues.
Ability to develop and interpret construction process plan drawings.
Experience contributing BIM content to marketing materials and business development proposals.
Familiarity with integrated project delivery methods and how BIM supports them.
Experience supporting cost estimating and planning activities using BIM models.
Ability to identify opportunities to improve field and office workflows through BIM-driven efficiencies.
Strong communication skills to explain BIM processes and outputs to various stakeholders.
Comfort working in a plumbing contractor environment, particularly on commercial projects.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BROOKFIELD, WI.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
