Job summary

Hart Howerton in San Francisco seeks a BIM Coordinator to lead Building Information Modeling efforts across projects. You will serve as the primary contact for BIM activities, collaborate with project managers and design teams, and implement model workflows and parametric content.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate BIM efforts across projects.
  • Establish, develop, and implement document control workflows.
  • Create and maintain parametric content such as families, templates, and content libraries to enhance design efficiency and standardization.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to staff in Revit and related software, advising project teams on BIM and best practices, troubleshooting issues, and creating documentation and user guides.
  • Actively monitor and streamline Revit models to maintain model health, performance, and adherence to firm BIM standards and project requirements.
  • Advocate for the broad ecosystem of AEC tools with direct support for ACC workflows.

Description

Our interdisciplinary design firm is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead Building Information Modeling efforts across projects. Serving as the primary point of contact for BIM-related activities, this role involves working closely with project managers and design teams, establishing and implementing model workflows, and creating parametric content. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional Revit experience, strong knowledge of design and drawing production, and proven skills in 3D coordination with the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate BIM efforts across projects.
  • Establish, develop, and implement document control workflows.
  • Create and maintain parametric content such as families, templates, and content libraries to enhance design efficiency and standardization.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to staff in Revit and related software, advising project teams on BIM and best practices, troubleshooting issues, and creating documentation and user guides.
  • Actively monitor and streamline Revit models to maintain model health, performance, and adherence to firm BIM standards and project requirements.
  • Advocate for the broad ecosystem of AEC tools with direct support for ACC workflows.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency in model building, data organization, and drawing development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Technical knowledge in BIM enabling applications and experience working in a BIM/VDC Coordinator role, including experience with Revit.
  • Knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Dynamo, Grasshopper is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics tools in model performance tracking.
  • Teaching or training experience with the ability to deliver engaging BIM training sessions.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000.
