Job summary

Baisch Engineering welcomes a BIM Coordination Intern to assist in 3D model coordination on industrial projects. You will work with BIM Coordinators, designers, and engineers to support model coordination and documentation.

The role emphasizes learning BIM protocols, applying Revit and Navisworks, and developing multi-discipline models in a hands-on environment at our Appleton, WI office.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with BIM software and architecture/engineering drawing practices.
• Coursework in architecture, construction, engineering, or building systems.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Support 3D model coordination alongside BIM Coordinators, designers, and engineers.
• Perform clash detection and model reviews to identify conflicts.
• Assist with BIM Execution Plans and project BIM documentation.
• Develop models using Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks, and related tools.

If so, we are looking for driven, goal-oriented people like you to join our team as a BIM Coordination Intern. Here’s what you will need to do:

• Work alongside BIM Coordinators, designers, and engineers to support 3D model coordination on a wide range of industrial engineering projects.

• Perform clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks and related tools to identify potential conflicts between architectural, structural, equipment, electrical, and process systems.

• Desire to learn and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology

• Assist with maintaining and updating BIM Execution Plans and project BIM documentation.

• Assist with the development and coordination of models utilizing Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks, and other design technologies.

• Gain experience working with multi-discipline models and point clouds, and understand how multidisciplinary engineering teams use BIM to coordinate complex industrial facilities.

What will help you succeed…

While prior professional BIM Coordination experience is not required, helpful experience includes:

• Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or other BIM software experience

• Construction drawing or technical drawing interpretation

• Coursework involving architecture, construction, engineering, or building systems

The paid summer internship role is an in-person position at our Appleton, Wisconsin office.
