Job summary

Aquatic Structures is seeking a BIM/CAD Design Technologist to translate concept sketches into buildable drawings for aquatic and water-feature projects. You will produce precise 2D plans and 3D models and verify tolerances in collaboration with engineers and field teams.

As part of the design team, you will maintain standards across sheets and files, ensure compliance with ASME/ANSI/local codes, and update packages quickly as changes arise.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or diploma in Drafting, CAD Design, or a related field.
• 2–5 years in a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment producing technical drawings.
• Portfolio: 3–5 samples demonstrating real-world drafting/modeling proficiency.
• Nice to Have: ADDA certification or Autodesk software badges.

Responsibilities

• 2D/3D Production: Build highly accurate 2D plans, sections, and elevations, and develop coordinated 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify design intent for commercial aquatic and water-feature projects.
• Validate dimensions, materials, and tolerances; align with structural, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain consistent layers, line weights, annotations, styles, and sheet sets across all files.
• Update drawings quickly to reflect approved client or field changes and track those updates.
