Qualifications

• 3+ years with Comarch BSS: Product Catalog, Billing or Billing Mediation.
• SQL for data analysis, tracing and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years with enterprise system integrations and integration tools.
• Familiar with invoicing, rating and usage-based billing.
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and Elasticsearch.
• Practical Linux experience and REST API testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and configure the Comarch BSS platform, especially Product Catalog, Billing and Billing Mediation.
• Monitor platform performance, jobs, error logs and runtime incidents.
• Investigate data issues and determine root causes; monitor interfaces and integrations.
• Support backup, recovery and data flow integrity across systems.
• Configure data connections, take technical ownership after implementation, document changes, and support audits and upgrades.

We’re looking for a Billing System Engineer who will help us develop and ensure the stability of our billing systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Comarch BSS platform, combining technical expertise with a good understanding of business processes. This is a role for someone who enjoys working in a complex system environment, likes getting to the root cause of issues, and wants to have a real impact on the reliability and further development of billing solutions. What will you work on? maintaining and configuring the Comarch BSS platform, particularly Product Catalog, Billing and Billing Mediation, monitoring platform performance, system jobs, error logs and runtime incidents, investigating data issues and identifying their root causes, monitoring system interfaces and integrations to ensure uninterrupted end-to-end data flows, supporting backup and recovery processes and solutions that strengthen system availability, configuring data connections and integrations and taking technical ownership after implementation, supporting audit controls, security requirements and compliance-related activities, following the BSS roadmap, running Proofs of Concept and maintaining technical documentation, contributing to platform upgrades, patches, new functionalities and technical issue resolution.

have at least three years of experience with Comarch BSS, particularly Product Catalog, Billing or Billing Mediation, use SQL for data analysis, record tracing and troubleshooting, have at least two years of experience with enterprise system integrations and integration tools, understand billing processes, including invoicing, rating and usage-based billing, are familiar with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and Elasticsearch, have practical experience with Linux, REST API testing and Apache Kafka, communicate in English at B2 level or higher.

Additional advantages:

experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, data warehouses or event-streaming solutions, knowledge of Apache Cassandra, knowledge of Kubernetes, English proficiency at C1 level.

Technology and AI in everyday work

We are looking for someone who actively uses AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or GitHub Copilot. These tools may support log analysis, SQL query generation and optimisation, technical documentation and the initial diagnosis of system issues.
