Job summary

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, solid knowledge of home health billing (PDGM), and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year home health billing experience preferred.
• Supervisory or lead billing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer billing.
• Familiarity with PDGM and home health billing regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with EMR and billing software systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the billing team to ensure accurate and timely claim submission.
• Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing processes.
• Review claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission.
• Monitor billing workflows, productivity, and KPIs.
• Resolve billing issues, denials, and payer rejections promptly.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Medicare home health regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and intake teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Assist with audits, billing reports, and process improvement initiatives.
• Train, coach, and mentor billing staff on policies and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
