Job summary

ALM Commercial Landscaping is hiring a Billing Specialist in Huntsville to prepare and process customer invoices across multiple companies within our commercial landscaping platform. The role collaborates with local accounting and operations to ensure timely billing and adherence to customer deadlines.

Requires 2+ years in billing or related accounting, a high school diploma (additional accounting education preferred), and strong Excel and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting/finance/business education preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret contracts, pricing, and billing instructions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices for multiple companies and locations across the platform.
• Generate recurring invoices for various services including contracts and modifications.
• Review billing information for accuracy: customer details, terms, PO numbers, completed work.
• Coordinate with Account Managers, Branch Managers, and accounting teams for timely billing.
• Ensure approved work orders and services are billed promptly.
• Submit invoices through portals, email, or other delivery methods.
• Maintain customer-specific billing requirements and submission procedures.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and missing information.
• Process invoice adjustments, credits, and rebills as authorized.
• Monitor unbilled work and follow up to prevent delays.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end billing activities and deadlines.
