Job summary

Reliable Home Care Providers, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage non-medical home care billing, including Medicaid and IDoA claims.

You will verify eligibility, ensure hours align with authorizations, and follow up on outstanding payments with accuracy and discretion. The ideal candidate has prior home care billing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care billing or healthcare claims processing preferred.
• Experience with IDoA billing, Medicaid, and insurance strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of non-medical home care services and billing systems.
• HIPAA confidentiality and privacy practices must be observed.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in billing records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit billing claims for non-medical home care services.
• Process billing for Medicaid, insurance, and IDoA programs.
• Verify client eligibility, payer coverage, and service authorizations.
• Ensure billed hours match authorized services and caregiver hours.
• Monitor claim status and follow up on pending or denied claims.
• Investigate discrepancies and resubmit corrected claims.
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile payments and document supporting records.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and HIPAA.
