Park Avenue Center in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Billing Support Specialist to ensure accurate billing and compliance. You will verify attendance in the EHR, coordinate funding details with internal partners and payers, and manage insurance claims and denials as part of a proactive team.

Qualifications

• Experience with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system or computer billing system preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to achieve outcomes.
• Analytical, data entry, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of confidentiality issues.

Responsabilités

• Verify and enter client attendance into the EHR accurately.
• Coordinate with Assessors, Counselors and payers to verify funding details.
• Maintain communication with Billing Manager and Clinical Staff regarding data for records and billing.
• Enter data in DAANES and ensure timeliness.
• Process monthly insurance verifications using MN-ITS or EHR and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Submit insurance claims to clearinghouse or insurance carriers electronically.
• Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims and resubmit as needed.
• Prepare appeal letters to carriers with supporting information.
• Suggest process improvements within the department.
