OBJECTIVE

The Billing Specialist will utilize their knowledge of revenue cycle management commercial and Illinois Medicaid billing requirements and medical billing systems to support the companys medical billing and revenue operations This role requires strong attention to detail problem solving skills and the ability to work within multiple billing platforms and processes This is a dynamic role with many opportunities for growth and development We are seeking a Billing Specialist who is eager to join the team and contribute to improving the efficiency accuracy and overall financial performance of Elevation Individual and Family Therapy PLLC

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide effective communication to pay sources and clients regarding billing needsCorrespond with Employee Assistance Programs EAP and insurance payers as well as clients regarding claim processing and paymentRespond to internal and external emails in a timely fashion within 24 48 hours upon receipt of emailMaintain an organized record of insurance and client payment documentsProvide reports to administrative team including but not limited toOutstanding client balancesOutstanding insurance claimsEAP ServicesUnit ComplianceOversee revenue cycle to assist with maintaining the financial health of the companyAssist with the verification of insurance benefits for clientsEstablish foundational consistent billing proceduresManage all outstanding debt collections and correspondence with third party debt collectorsSubmit billing rosters as required by Medicaid and Managed Care OrganizationsAssist with insurance credentialing needs if time allotment for primary work responsibilities permit and upon approval and discussion with CEOOther tasks as designated by Chief Executive Officer if time allotment for primary work responsibilities permit
