Job summary

JFR Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist in Wall Township, NJ (On-Site) for a growing SaaS company. The role focuses on end-to-end billing, invoicing accuracy in QuickBooks Online, and subscription billing activities including renewals and proration.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of billing or accounting experience, strong QuickBooks skills, and familiarity with SaaS billing platforms. This is a fast-paced role offering growth and collaboration with the accounting team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks experience (QuickBooks Online preferred).
• Experience billing in a SaaS or subscription-based business is a huge plus.
• Familiarity with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, Zuora, or similar) a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders on billing matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full billing cycle — generate, review, and send accurate customer invoices on a recurring and ad hoc basis
• Process billing in QuickBooks Online, ensuring data integrity between billing records and the general ledger
• Handle subscription billing activities including renewals, upgrades/downgrades, proration, and cancellations
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on past-due balances, and support collections efforts
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve customer billing inquiries in a timely, professional manner
• Assist with month-end close by preparing billing-related journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate customer billing records, contracts, and payment terms within QuickBooks and any billing/subscription platforms
• Support the Controller/accounting team with ad hoc reporting, audits, and process improvement initiatives
• Ensure billing practices comply with company policy and support scalability as the business grows
