Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist for the Charleston Accounting Team in North Charleston, SC. You will process billing for vehicles sold and post sales, ensuring accurate cash receipts and proper documentation.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, up to 3 years of relevant experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and reliability. Training on our dealership management system will be provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred (or equivalent training and experience).
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Billing, dealership experience or DMV experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Eager to learn our dealership management system; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Processes deals in accounting by reviewing paperwork for compliance.
• Verifies that cash is received for vehicle sales.
• Reconciles manufacturer rebates and incentive receivables.
• Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
• Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers with accounts, procedures, and services.
• Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Accounting Charleston Team at Hendrick Automotive Group- The nation's largest privately held automotive group and a seventh-time #1 leader in U.S. online reputation!

As a Billing Specialist you will be responsible for processing billing for vehicles sold and to post sales.

Pay

From $18.50 /hr.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree preferred (or equivalent training and experience)
• We value the right combination of education and hands-on experience
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a business environment
• Billing, dealership experience or DMV experience in a fast-paced setting is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person
• Strong organizational skills are essential—you'll be juggling multiple priorities
• Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Eager to learn our dealership management system and other specialized software—we'll provide training!
• This role requires reliable attendance and flexibility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Processes deals in accounting by reviewing the paperwork for compliance

• Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

• Participates in required training
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
