Job summary

National Bankruptcy Services (NBS) in Dallas, TX is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. You will be the liaison between the Billing Department and clients, ensuring invoices are prepared accurately and submitted timely.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn new software applications and web-based systems.
  • Previous experience in billing, finance, administrative support, customer service, or data entry.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy and/or foreclosure processes.
  • Experience working with invoice processing or financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review pre-bills to ensure invoices comply with client requirements and billing guidelines.
  • Generate, process, and submit invoices and supporting documentation using web-based billing platforms.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and invoice-related issues.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external billing inquiries.
  • Compare and validate information across multiple systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with process improvements and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain organized and accurate billing records.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Summary
